Fees: No fee to ride. Owned and managed by the Southwest Florida Water Management District. Very limited parking outside gate; parking available inside gate by permit. No water. Description: This equine event is open to all types of riders and carriage drivers. Experience the wonderful trails at Alafia and take the challenge of the five FUN– man-made or natural obstacles (anything from mailboxes to wildlife). Participants will be given a map with the obstacles indicated (and GPS coordinates) along the horse trail. All obstacles will be within a 4-mile radius from the trail-head. You will decide your distance, direction, and pace to each location. THIS IS NOT A TIMED EVENT. Upon completing a task you will receive a sealed playing card. The player with the best poker hand will receive a $$ CASH $$ Prize. Door Prizes will also be awarded. A BBQ lunch is included with your registration. Everyone must return by NOON. All profits from this event will got to the Friends of Alafia/Citizen Support Organization for Alafia River State Park. Participants must supply their own horse and have proof of a current negative coggins test.
FEES: A $20 donation is requested. Lunch is included.

2,300 acres of wetlands with 18 miles of shared-use trails and an equestrian parking area near main gate. No fee to ride. Coggins required. Portable toilet and non-potable water available in equestrian camping area. Entrance located in central Pasco County off SR 52 on south side of road just west of Suncoast Parkway across from Hayes Road. Park website
